About me
Hi, I'm Nathan, an aspiring artist, studio and live sound engineer . 29 years old and originally from Wolverhampton. My journey started at the City of Wolverhampton College, where I gained experience in both Live and studio engineering. This lead to me gaining additional experience in external events such as Slam Dunk music festival and held an event with the Slade Rooms venue. A natural progression for me was then to continue to a degree level education in Music Production at Staffordshire University.
I have now completed my BA Honours degree in Music production and continued on to study MA Modern Music Practices to further my skills as an artist and engineer.

An outline of the skills I have obtained are identified in the sections below.

Daw Production
Over the last four years I have learnt to use multiple Daws to record and edit projects. I started off using Reason and Pro Tools back in College. My knowledge of these Daws helped me to start using Logic Pro X and the more advanced features of Avid Pro Tools. Modules at University including Advanced Pro Tools, Daw Production and Creative Music Practice have helped me to develop my skills in the three Daws. You can view some of the projects I've been working on in the link below.
Continuing on to the masters has allowed me to work on further projects using Avid Pro Tools and the C24 console.

Working With Other Musicians
Over the past four years I have networked and worked with both internal and external musicians on projects. This includes Eloise in the image to the left, Sam Horton and Edson Duarte on mixing assignments , Nialle Miszkiel a local guitarist and Trym a drummer who performed the sections on my release "Water". This has helped me gain valuable experience in the mic setup of different instruments and managing artists in a studio environment as a producer.

Using different studio equipment
During my time at University, I have been able to use the onsite studio facilities including the mastering room, The Avid C24 console room ( control room 3 ) and the SSL desk. Using these facilities has allowed me to gain knowledge of different desks and control surfaces.
